Little is said about hunger, yet it is claiming lives worldwide. Those who survive are left weak and unable to do other serious work due to starvation. Rural Focus Initiative Uganda is currently focusing on the welfare of its staff by ensuring some food is harvested to support them. Using our plot of land, we are planting maize, soya beans, ground nuts and beans to supplement the food sources for our staff.

The plot of land is to accommodate the vocational skills training workshop and the organization offices in the near future when funds become available. In the meantime, we are using this plot for crops before we convert it to its intended purpose. This helps us to be more relevant to our community, since agriculture is the economic foundation of our society. Together we can fight hunger.
