When awarding scholarships through the RSF Scholarship Fund, the parity/balance of 50% female and 50% male students should be strictly adhered to.

Main objective of the Rwenzori Scholarship Fund is to improve professional, vocational and social habits of young people with the aim to increase the social level of the Kasese District.

The partnership brings in positive changes and development in the vocational training programs of RUFI Uganda where new courses are destined to start that is Cookery and Information communication Technology courses, solar installation among other.

In the first support towards the start of the two training programs, Kitchen and IT laboratory equipment’s have been donated with some already installed to start working.

The partnership in another positive ways paves way for RUFI to further its efforts of the long-term vision of building the RuFI School of Vocational Studies: As RuFI is owner of several plots of land, the upper plots that are foreseen as location for this Vocational Training Centre but requires very high investment finances. On the other side of the road another plot belongs to RuFI, and as the foundations and some walls are already existing, as a first step in a shorter time a building for an adequate IT-Lab with a teachers` office can be completed – if finances are mobilized an inauguration in Feb 2025 could be possible.

In front of the IT-Lab foundations are laid which could serve for a temporary Teaching Kitchen and Teaching Restaurant and a Beauty Saloon as eye-catcher, both for Vocational Training and Training-on-the-Job with offers in Catering, as a Coffee Shop, Snack bar and Restaurant for events.

The objective is to offer professional vocational training to young people with the prospect of achieving successful job opportunities in IT and gastronomy as well as create income for RuFI Uganda to further extend its services to the community.
